EducationAL Experience

School tours at yarnbala

Connect students with nature through immersive, hands-on learning in one of South Australia’s most unique ecosystems.

Our Educational Experience is a specially adapted version of our popular Wild Yarnbala tour, tailored to suit the age, interests, and learning levels of school groups. Set within a critically endangered grassy she-oak woodland, this program invites students to explore, discover, and develop a deeper understanding of the natural world through sensory exploration and guided interpretation.

What Students Can Experience:

  • Guided bushwalk through a rare old-growth ecosystem

  • Indigenous bush food discovery and tasting

  • Ancient water divining demonstration

  • Interactive discussions on local biodiversity, ecosystems, and conservation

  • Live didgeridoo and lap-steel guitar performance to close the experience

Our educators adapt each session to align with curriculum goals, offering age-appropriate content for primary and secondary students. The experience supports learning in environmental science, sustainability, Indigenous knowledge, and cultural heritage.
